‘They’ – Image of modern women inspired by 20th-century photography. The series offers the artist’s insight into the contemporary image of women combined with the cultural context in the second half of the 20th century.

The author asks the question – to what extent is the idealized image of today’s women distinct from 20th-century iconic beauties. Immediate inspiration were photographs of famous models and actresses taken by outstanding photographers: Richard Avedon, Albert Watson, Helmut Newton and Steven Meisel. The works presented at the exhibition show the contemporary models in poses and styling referring to specific frames of masters of photography.
